| Description |
This was one of the clothing items discovered in 1965 when relocating the tomb of General Gim Deokryeong (1567-1596) a civilian army leader who fought against the invading Japanese army in Damyang, Jeollanam-do.
General Gim was said to have been of small stature, but his agility and bravery are said to have made the Japanese fear him even at the sight of his face.
He was wrongly accused of treason and died in imprisonment and was acquitted following his death.
He was posthumously given the title of military minister, and his memorial tablet was placed among those of loyal heroes of Gwangju.
Cotton wool and the quilted works are all that remains of the pants which measures 90 centimeters in length, 30 centimeters in width, 40 centimeters in lower length and 16 centimeters in waist width.
